Hand Painted Silks

Juline Beier has been producing one-of-a-kind hand-painted silk scarves and garments since 1991. Her work is carried throughout the country in museum shops, contemporary art galleries and wearable art stores.

Each of Juline's pieces is an original work of art—drawn and painted by the artist—created using only the finest imported dyes on high-quality silk crepe de chine. No two will be exactly the same.

Juline's work has been seen at many juried craft shows, including the American Craft Council Fairs, the Southwest Arts and Crafts Fair, the Santa Monica Contemporary Crafts Market and the Sausalito Arts Festival.

She uses Chinese brushes to paint fiber reactive dyes on white silk to create her work. "I'm told that my designs appear to have Japanese, African or Native American influences. That may well be, but when I paint, my designs just happen."

Scarves have hand-rolled edges, come in five sizes and are available in two distinct styles—Free Form and Abstract.

Ponchos (ruanas) are also available in Free Form and Abstract styles.

Neckties are available in the Free Form style in a variety of color schemes that range from wild and unpredictable to muted and conservative.
